Project of the Month Winner – Cressy Door Company

Cressy Door Company was founded by Waid Cressy in 1952 and was then sold to Fred Witters in 1974. His son, Rick Witters, took over the business in 1995. They operate out of Seattle and Kent, WA, and serve the greater Seattle metropolitan area, from Marysville down to Olympia, over to Cle Elum and Shelton. For this blog post, we interviewed Dave Peterson, Sales Professional for Cressy Door, who has been in the garage door industry for 35 years. A lot of the projects Dave is involved with incorporate our Modern Classic doors, which he said is a “really hot” product right now in the market. Cressy Door Company prides itself on “doing difficult installations and doing them right!” Dave comments, “We have some of the most experienced salespeople and installers around.”

The property for this project sits on the waterfront in Poulsbo, WA, with a great view of Puget Sound. It is currently under construction, but it looks as though it will be breathtaking once it is finished! Cressy worked with the builders from Fairbank Construction out of Seattle, WA. The project incorporated seven stained T201A Township Collection doors of various sizes, one of which was 12’ x 14’ with clear glass in the top two sections. Our Township Collection carriage style wood garage doors add warmth and beauty to any house or building and come unfinished so you can customize them with stain or paint to match.

Dave said one of the best aspects of working in the garage door industry is “the freedom of getting out and looking at every garage door project and talking to people. Figuring out the right door for the project and helping homeowners and businesses.” Cressy is always working on interesting projects, including an upcoming Therma Tech installation in an all concrete opening. We can’t wait to see those pictures!
