Our most recent Project of the Month winner featured a pair of Northwest Door’s new Modern Tech residential steel garage doors. The beautiful home that these doors were installed on was built for a very unique purpose – to be put on display as part of the 40th Utah Valley Parade of Homes.
If you’re not familiar with the parade, it is an annual event hosted by the Utah Valley Home Builders Association to help protect and promote the home building industry in Utah Valley. 30-35 of Utah County’s top home builders put together astonishing, professionally designed homes that become available for self-guided tour by anyone with a ticket to the event. The homes range in price from $400,000 to over $2 million, and in size from 2,029 to 12,931 square feet.
The home that we’ll be focusing on today was built and designed by Ezra Lee Design + Build of Lehi, Utah, and the garage doors were sold and installed by Five Star Building Products in Orem, Utah. On this project you’ll find two of our steel contemporary style Brushed Nickel Modern Tech garage doors (1 – 20’ x 10’ and 1 – 12’ x 12’) and two LiftMaster MJ5011 openers. The applications of the Modern Tech are vast – they can make an old home look new again, or in this case, act as the finishing touch on a beautiful, modernistic home.

This isn’t the first time that Five Star Building Products have installed doors on a home for the Parade. They have has been in business for four years and service the entire state of Utah doing primarily residential work for single and multi-family homes. It’s very common for them to install our 500 Series doors, but they have also worked with quite a few Modern Classics – Ezra has included Modern Classics on his homes before as well.
