Project of the Month Winner – September 2017

John Fenner (NWD Territory Sales Manager) and Chad Wolf (Modesto Overhead Door Manager)

Our Project of the Month winner for September 2017 comes from The Golden State of California, specifically Modesto. Modesto Overhead Door has been in business for 40 years and are being featured for their pool house project which showcases four insulated white factory finish aluminum full view 800 Series garage doors with dual pane low E glass. This gorgeous project includes two 16’ wide x 8’ high doors, one 10’x8’ and one 12’x8’. They also incorporated matching powder coated track and hardware for increased aesthetic appeal!

Residential projects account for approximately 60 percent of the work that Modesto Overhead Door completes in their service area of San Joaquin, Merced, Tulare, Stanislaus, Calaveras, and Mariposa counties. They love seeing new clients in new towns with new problems and being able to offer solutions. For this particular project, they had to engineer the track to go over existing cabinets. As you can see in the photo above, they did a great job! Recently, they had to slope the track on a low headroom project to operate under a beam that was one inch under the door opening. They ended up installing a LiftMaster 8500 opener for the door upside down and it worked out smoothly as well.

Modesto Overhead Door is a family owned company that loves to help out in their local community and volunteer when they can. Owner Gayle Wolf does search and rescue as well as volunteer firefighting. Chad Wolf, Manager, is on the board of directors for the local school system as well as his church. They also have hosted an apprenticeship program for many years that “builds door men” and offers hourly pay for quality work.

If you’re in the area and in need of a new garage door, call Modesto Overhead Door today! We truly value their business and they can help you with anything from our 500 Series open-back pan style door all the way up to the 800 Series featured today – and more!
