Energy Tax Credit Information

Northwest Door garage doors that qualify for tax credit under the Energy Improvement and Extension Act of 2008 are listed below.

To qualify for the credit, the door must be installed on a qualifying homeowner's principal residence which has an insulated garage space and must be put into service between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010. A credit of 30% of the material cost is allowed up to a maximum of $1,500 for all home energy improvements per household combined. New construction does not qualify. NOTE: The doors must have the perimeter sealed to avoid air infiltration. Top and sides must have vinyl or wood stop with a flexible flap and the bottom must be sealed with astragal.
